LOIRE INDUSTRIE was created in MARCH 1971 by Mr. JOANNES ROMAGNY. Its installation at ST CHAMOND (42) was dictated by the town’s favourable geographical situation close to an important motorway network, and the region’s vocation for metallurgy and mechanical engineering.
In 1990, LOIRE INDUSTRIE joined the TROUVAY ET CAUVIN Group, which sold the Company in 2002 to the FMDL HOLDING (FORGES ET MECANIQUE DE LA LOIRE), specialists in free forging and ring rolling and directed by Mr. RICHARD ROMAGNY, the son of our Company’s founder.
In September 2006, the FDML HOLDING merged with the Italian Group FORGITAL, the European leader in ring rolling and, in this way, gave new boost to the whole Group.
In March 2010, LOIRE INDUSTRIE is integrated into A.I.R Group (ALLIANCE INDUSTRIELLE ROMAGNY) chaired by M. Richard ROMAGNY.
New growth opportunities are emerging with the building of an integrated FORGE plant in ST CHAMOND, allowing LOIRE INDUSTRIE to control all development process from forged products to fully machined products, and to enhance its competitiveness by offering short delivery times.
LOIRE INDUSTRIE also possesses a branch in the South of France at LES PENNES MIRABEAU (13) which is in permanent contact with leading contractors in Northern and Central Africa..
